Known as bumblebee jasper, this stone is actually a form of calcite from Indonesia. The bright yellow-orange color is provided by realgar, a mineral that contains arsenic. While polished bumblebee jasper is considered safe to wear, like other potentially toxic stones such as malachite, it should not be ingested. Please keep these beads out of reach of pets and children.
