These beads are specially-made of alternating bands of colorful resin. They're cut and polished by the same lapidaries that handle our genuine stone beads. 

The man-made "blue lace agate" rounds are a bit lighter weight and warmer to the touch than the real thing, but they are a high-quality synthetic imitation.
